Specimen Storage

Not even the mad scientist can avoid working from home these days, having to convert the basement of their home into a specimen storage and dissection room. Though it seems as the scientist was transferring one of the newest specimens into it's tank they weren't quite careful enough.
A big part of this challenge for me was working out how to handle the tanks with the specimens inside. Since there were a lot with overlap I wanted to avoid too much translucency overdraw so I spent a lot of time testing how I could get a solid result using a translucent front and unlit emissive backfaces to give the silhouette.

This was done as part of the Polycount Bi-Monthly Environment Art Challenge #68! Definitely recommend checking out the thread to see how others tackled this same challenge and a huge source of inspiration for how to tackle certain issues that came up!
